Honey beef short ribs. Oven roasted to perfection! How can you say no? This is such an easy carnivorous recipe. All you need are a few spices and time. And you don’t even have to be a seasoned chef to make these perfect. The oven will do all of the work for you.
Dry rub them with a combo of garlic, onion powders, cayenne, paprika, salt, pepper, cumin. A drizzle of olive oil. You will roast them covered for three hours until they are practically fall off the bone tender. Such a simple recipe. No frills needed. A light drizzle of honey at the end with a higher temperature, and you create this gorgeous caramelization on the meat. This is great with a side of roasted vegetables, green salad or slaw.

Ingredients:
2 lbs of beef short ribs
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of black pepper
1/8 tsp of cumin
1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 tsp of onion powder
1/2 tsp of paprika
drizzle of olive oil
1 tbsp of honey
Directions:
Mix all of the spices in a bowl.
If your short ribs have a lot of extra fat on them, then trim them. You can actually make your own tallow from the fat if you like by cooking it in a pan and rendering it, storing it in a container for later use.
Rub the short ribs with your spice mixture on all sides. A light drizzle of olive oil, and massage them to coat. Let them sit at room temperature for an hour in the pan. I always line the pan with parchment for easy clean up later.
Cover the pan tightly with aluminum & bake it at 300 F for 3 hours. Remove from the oven. Raise heat to 425 F. Uncover and drizzle a little bit of honey over the short ribs. Roast at this temperature to brown and caramelize for 15 minutes.
That’s it! So easy. Like I said, all you need is time.
