Oven Roasted Tri Tip

I have always loved beef. My mother even said that even as a baby, with my first little teeth, I would chew like a rabbit on any kind of beef. I always look for grass-fed beef cuts.

I usually marinate my tri trip overnight.

Juicy & delicious!

Grass-fed Beef 🥩 Tri Tip.

1 tsp olive oil

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp cumin

1/4 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp dry thyme

1/4 tsp dry oregano

2 tbsp butter

In a small bowl create a mixture of all the dry spices. Rub the tri tip with those. Lightly massage with olive oil. Place in a ziplock bag and marinate for 8 hours up to 24 hours.

Bring to room temperature.
Preheat oven to 400 F.


Heat a pan & sear it in olive oil on all sides to create a crust & lock in the juices.

Then roast it at 400 for 20-30 minutes, depending on how you prefer beef. I added a little butter right under the tri tip in the pan & right on top as it roasts in the oven.


Let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
